Deepa is an experienced Physiotherapist with over 12 years’ experience in both the public and private sector. She is an ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner as well as being certified as a PINC Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist.

She uses a holistic and integrated approach with best evidence management for lymphoedema care and post-cancer rehabilitation. Her main passion is to help women diagnosed with breast cancer at all stages of their recovery to improve their quality of life through an individualised management program.
Deepa is passionate and committed to empower patients to how best self-manage lymphoedema and assist them to achieve their optimal health. Deepa uses an individual approach for each patient integrating with hands on approach with manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, prescription of compression garments, skin care education, scar tissue management and exercise advise for shoulder care, post cancer rehabilitation and functional conditioning.
In her spare time Deepa enjoys meditation, yoga and spending time with her two beautiful kids.
We provide broad experience in treating both acute and chronic lymphoedema with special interest in breast cancer rehabilitation including shoulder care post mastectomy, lumpectomy, cording and scar tissue management. Our mission is to provide early intervention for breast cancer related lymphoedema to assess, diagnose and treat it promptly.
We provide advice for use of different compression garments depending on stages of lymphoedema. Measurements of different compression garments would be completed as appropriate for individual needs and would be advised as indicated. We believe in active rehabilitation with emphasis on skin care, self manual lymphatic drainage, use of compression garments and individualised exercise prescription including but not limiting to decongestive lymphatic exercises, conditioning exercises at different stages of lymphoedema.
Our Cancer Early Intervention and rehabilitation programs are specifically designed by our team and we are proud to be in the forefront of new developments in the field.
We are APA and ALA accredited. The ALA (Australasian Lymphology Association) is the peak professional body for Lymphology in Australia and NZ.
